How to use the Blog:

A blog (a contraction of the term "Web log") is a Web Site, maintained by the church staff with regular entries of commentary or description of events. Pastor Don uses it as sort of a commentary - letting us know what’s on his mind that day. We use the Blog at HRC as a form of communication (ie. prayer requests, updates on the sick, etc.) The Blog is a great way for us to keep you informed, sometimes several times per day when events may dictate it. Because entries can be made very quickly, excuse any typos, etc . Entries in the Blog are displayed in reverse-chronological order.

Feel free to add your comments to any entry- and read those comments that others may have posted. Here’s how to comment on an entry:

Let’s say Pastor Don writes an entry on the Blog about the Hudsonville Eagles going to the championship playoffs and how they are the best football team in West Michigan, if not the state. You may want to remind him that the Jenison Wildcats “ are also pretty decent.” Under his Blog entry, click on the little blue icon labeled either “Comments” or “No Comments”. (If there are no comments, that simply means that Pastor Don’s comments are undisputed).

When you click on the icon to leave a comment, a popup will appear as follows:

You will be required to enter your name, a valid email address, and your comments. When complete, click on the “Submit Comment” button. The comment will not appear immediately. I’m sure you can understand, we need to review each comment before it gets posted to the site.
