Angel Food Ministries is a nonprofit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing grocery relief and financial support to communities throughout the U.S. working through host sites, such as Hudsonville Reformed Church. More than 500,000 families across 35 states receive this quality, low-cost grocery supplement every month.
Angel Food’s groceries are sold in a quantity that can fit into a medium sized box at just $30/unit. Each month’s menu is different from the previous month and consists of both frozen items, including meats and vegetables. Each box has a retail value of more than $65. Generally, one unit of food assists in feeding a family of four for about one week or a single person/senior citizen for almost a month. The food is the same quality one would purchase at a grocery store – no second hand items, damaged, outdated, day-old or over ripe products. Specialty boxes such as steaks, chicken and pork are also available. There is no limit to the number of regular or specialty boxes an individual may purchase!
